Set Up Utility Service Before the Move
Now that you've bought your new home, or are
moving into the area, it's time to notify utility companies.
You will want to contact utility companies prior
to taking possession of your home, and if possible, transfer service from
the seller into your name. This will prevent re-connection fees. Be sure
to ask about any required deposits.
